Step 2: Phone Kōrero
This is the chance for the team to connect with you over the phone to get to know you, fill in any gaps in your application as well as an opportunity for you to ask questions.
Step 3: Cadet Ready Workshop
This is an hour-long workshop focussed on building confidence and CV & interview preparation to support your application to TupuToa and other organisations.
Kanohi ki te kanohi kōrero
Applicants will be invited to complete a face to face kōrero tahi to assess their suitability to the kaupapa.
Korero tahi with partner organisations
Candidates will meet and/or interview with partner organisations and, if successful, will be offered an cadetship.
Some organisations may require you to undergo a pre-employment background check and/or drug and alcohol test.

Successful candidates will be offered a place on TupuToa cadet programme. This means that you will be shortlisted into the talent pool.
We take successful applicants from this talent pool and match them to cadetship opportunities that are provided to TupuToa by our partners.
Please note that being offered a place on the TupuToa Māori Cadetship Programme does not guarantee a cadetship opportunity.
