Whāia te Iti Kahurangi – Strive for Excellence
This comes from the whakataukī: Whāia te iti kahurangi, ki te tuohu koe, me he maunga teitei
This translates to; Seek the treasure that you value most dearly, if you bow your head, let it be to a lofty mountain.
We have used this whakataukī to underpin the design of the one-day conference and hope that this will propel you towards greater opportunities for yourself, your whanau and your hāpori.

Our TOA Alumni Programme now has six core components:
In addition to year-round networking opportunities, we recently launched TupuToa Talks which aims to inspire, connect and empower our alumni.
Alumni will have an opportunity to mentor interns, and be mentored by a manager from across our partner network. Expressions of interest will be taken at the Conference for 2021.
TupuToa will host an annual leadership conference open to Māori and Pacific professionals.
This 6-month programme is aimed at alumni with at least 2-3 years’ experience, and will include a range of learning and development opportunities including workshops.
We will keep Alumni in touch with the Programme as well as the wider TupuToa community via a dedicated LinkedIn Group, regular newsletter and social media.
Alumni will be able to koha TupuToa with time, skills and/or financial contribution.
