Meet Anthony: a proud Māori and Pacific Islander and more importantly, a loving father and husband. With a background in the Navy as a Communications Warfare Specialist, this is where Anthony discovered his passion for cyber security. Recently Anthony put his skills and knowledge to work during his TupuToa internship with the Department of Corrections, where he applied his knowledge of tikanga Māori (Māori cultural practices) to cyber security. Anthony believes in the power of technology to safeguard our future, preserve our Whakapapa, and embrace our cultural identity. He envisions a future where Māori and Pacific communities actively participate in the Tech space, bringing their rich heritage and unique cultural perspectives.
